We have four new Orchard Breezin’ mist wine kits in stock. Choose from Pomegranate Zinfandel, Sangria with Seville Orange, Pink Grapefruit White Shiraz and Citrus Ice White Shiraz. The Wine Smith now stocks 13 different Orchard Breezin’ kits including the 2007 Winemaker Magazine “Best of Show” winner, Kiwi Melon Pinot Grigio. At $59.95 per kit you can make a delicious,
refreshing wine for around $2 per bottle!

Hops Availability
The Wine Smith expects to have the following hops available in 1 oz. packets for the next several months;
· Domestic Pellets: Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial, Crystal, Galena, Liberty, Millenium, Willamette
· Imported Pellets: Bramling Cross, Challenger, Kent Golding, Fuggle, Phoenix, Saaz
· Leaf: Kent Golding and Saaz
We currenty have a limited inventory of many other popular hops, so don’t hesitate to ask. We reserve the right to limit hop purchases to quantities appropriate for use with grains and processed malts purchased at The Wine Smith.
Fruit Crushers and Presses
We have three fruit crushers in stock at 2006 prices:
· Double SS Roller with 19x30” painted steel hopper, now $179
· Double SS Roller with 20x30” SS hopper, now $329
· Double SS Roller with 20x30” SS hopper, mounting rail bent in transit, now $215
We have two Vintner’s Best #25 fruit presses in stock. These units are hardwood and steel with a heavy-duty ratchet-type head, priced at $295. These prices are for existing stock only as we expect significant price increases on new 2008 units.
DME Price Rollback
The Wine Smith will begin on-site re-packaging of Light Dried Malt Extract (DME) by April 1st. This will enable us to roll back the price to $13.95 per 3 lb. bag and $4.95 per 1 lb. bag. Frequent extract brewers might want to consider purchasing DME in a 55 lb. bulk carton for $199, that’s only $362 per lb.
RJ Spagnols Cru Select Restricted Quantity Wine Kits
Each year RJ Spagnols offers one-time, limited quantities of exceptional juices from the world’s leading vineyards. The following RQ kits are now in stock at The Wine Smith;
· Australian Viognier Pinot Gris (dry white blend) from Langhorne Creek, S. Australia; $97.95
· Italian Nero D’Avola (dry red) from Sicily; $103.95
Each of these 16 liter kits makes six gallons of wine and distinctive labels are included.
L.A. Lagers Beer Club
All area brewers, from novices to brew masters, are invited to attend a meeting of the L.A. Lagers Beer Club, meeting on the 2nd Thursday each month at the Hurricane Brewery, 225 Dauphin St.
